Description

In our digital age, neck pain stemming from postural dysfunction such as forward head posture is prevalent. Dr. Vladimir Janda described his postural syndromes, detailing which muscles were tight and which were weak in order to help people with posture-related spinal pain. San Juan Therapeutics builds on Janda’s concepts and helps you to create meaningful change in the posture and pain of our clients with this course from our Postural Syndrome Series! In this course you will:

  • Review detailed anatomy of the cervical, upper thoracic, pectoral, and suboccipital regions
  • Refine your palpation skills of relevant bony landmarks and musculotendinous structures
  • Understand the biomechanics of forward head posture, and how this affects function and mobility of the neck, thorax, and shoulders
  • Become proficient at therapeutic techniques to help people with neck pain, headaches, thoracic outlet syndrome, and more
  • Practice fun and effective techniques to create change in the cervical region
  • Learn techniques for the chest wall including pectoralis major and minor
  • Gain the confidence and skill to address the anterior neck muscles, including scalenes and SCM
  • Learn when medical referral is appropriate

Space is limited! Take advantage of our early bird discount and save 10% if you register by November 1st!

Be sure to check out our other course from the Postural Syndrome Series, Therapeutic Massage for Lower Crossed Syndrome. Save 20% if you sign up for both courses at once!
